Clicker Heroes: Skills
There are 10 skills in clicker heroes that are opened by leveling certain heroes. Remember when you upgrade heroes you do not need to activate attributes in order!
This is the list of the skills, what they do, and how to open them.
Bonus Gold!
Bonus gold gives you +100% gold for 4 hours. 4 hours is also the cool down timer This doubles your current gold collection rate. To get the additional gold you need to watch a short video. This is well worth it especially in the higher levels. This is the only skill that is open from the start. Try to keep an eye on this and use it when its open.
Tapsorm
Automatically performs 10 Taps Per Second for 30 seconds. It has a cooldown of 10 minutes. To open this skill you have to level Cid, the Helpful Adventurer to 25. This is useful for defeating bosses when you do not have enough DPS. I use this in conjuntion with Golden Taps, Lucky Strikes, and Super Taps.
Powersurge
+100% DPS for 30 seconds. The cool down timer for this skill is 10 minutes and you can unlock it by leveling Ivan, the Drunken Brawler to level 100. Sometimes when I am in a pinch fighting a boss, I use this to speed up the damage that is done by the heroes.
Lucky Strikes
+50% chance of Critical Tap for 30 seconds. To open this skill you need to level Alexia, Assassin to level 100. The cool down timer for this skill is 30 minutes. This is a great add on to Tapstorm as noted above. Critical Hits do increased damage, so it helps with killing that boss that just doesn't want to die.
Metal Detector
+100% Gold dropped for 30 seconds with a cool down timer of 30 minutes. To open this skill you need to level Broyle Lindeoven, Fire Mage to level 100. This skill is good to activate when you know you will be killing enemies very fast. This is a good skill to use with Tapstorm or Powersurge.
Golden Taps
Taps give 1.0% of monster gold, for 30 seconds. (0.1% on Bosses) The cool down for this skill is 60 minutes. You need to level King Midas to level 100 to open this skill. I have not looked into this skill much, although i do use it. I am unsure if you take that gold from what the boss was going to give you or is it a bonus to what the boss normally would give. Either way it looks awesome when all the gold coins go flying everywhere! I use this skill with Tapstorm to get even more gold.
The Dark Ritual
Multiply your current DPS by 1.05 for the duration of your world. AKA during one assention. To get this skill you need to level Abaddon to 75. This skill will increase your DPS by 5%. The cool down for this skill is 8 hours! I use this skill before going to bed so that when I wake up I can use it again (if I slept for 8 hours). Try to use this only when you are at your peak DPS or level this way you get maximum bonus.
Super Taps
+200% tap damage for 30 seconds. The cool down for this skill is 60 minutes. You have to level Beastlord to 100 before you can open this skill. I use this skill with Tapstorm so that I get more damage out of it.
Energize
Doubles the effect of the next skill you use. The cool down timer for this skill is 60 minutes. You need to level Aphrodite, Goddess of Love to 125 to open this skill. I go between The Dark Ritual or Bonus Gold when using this skill. This skill is also required for the achievement of tapping 25 and 35 times in one second!!! Use Energize then click on Tapstorm to get your 25, I have yet to be able to get the 35 taps in one second achievement.
Reload
Reduce the cool down of the last skill you used by 1 hour. The cool down timer is 60 minutes. Shinatobe, Wind Deity at level 100 is required to open this skill. I do like this skill for when im about at my peak DPS or level and going from one boss to another. This is a tricky skill though, you have to plan out how you will use it before clicking on the skills like mad to pass a boss.
