Clicker Heroes: Ancients
There are many ancients and an unknown amount that I do not have.
To buy and level ancients you need to use your Hero Souls that you earn from fighting special bosses called Primals.
Every time you level an ancient it costs more Hero Souls. For example i have 23 ancients and my next one costs me 25,000 Hero Souls!
This is the list of ancients that I have bought so far.
Atman, Ancient of Souls
Gives a bonus percent to how often Primals spawn. It has a max level of 25 giving a 25% increase. I have maxed this ancient out because of the amount of primals you get. This is great with Solomon, Ancient of Wisdom which gives you more Hero Souls. I would suggest this be one of the first few of the Ancients you get.
Morgulis, Ancient of Death
Gives a bonus percent to Hero Soul DPS (additive). To figure this one out you need to understand that every Hero Soul you have currently stored (not used) gives you 10% DPS bonus. Morgulis gives you additional percent. My current level is 20,954 which gives me +230494% to each Hero Soul you have stored. This ancient is different from the others in that the cost does not increase. It always costs 1 Hero Soul to level. This is definitely one to get. There is no maximum level for this ancient.
Dora, Ancient of Discovery
Gives a percent bonus to how often you get treasure chests. It has a max level of 50. This ancient and Mimzee, Ancient of Riches are a great pair, Mimzee gives a bonus to how much gold is in treasure chests.
Libertas, Ancient of Freedom
Gives a percent bonus to how much gold monsters give you while you are idle. You are considered idle after 60 seconds of no tapping. You can do tapping on heroes to level them as well as other non attacking taps. I can gather gold sometimes without it considering it a tap, other times it counts it as a tap and I have to wait 60 seconds to get my gold % back up. This one along with Sityalatas, Ancient of Abandon are a great pair, especially when you have many Hero Souls.
Siyalatas, Ancient of Abandon
Gives a percent bonus to DPS while idle. The only thing different from this and Libertas is that this one does damage. I currently have both of these at level 430 giving me +6990 bonus to gold and DPS! These guys are awesome. If you can get these first!
Dogcog, Ancient of Thrift
Gives a reduction in percent to Hero Hiring and Level up cost. It has a max level of 25 giving a total of -50%! It's like going to the store and getting 2 mountain dews for the price of one! The less you pay in buying and leveling gives you more DPS faster! This is on the list for top 10 ancients to get.
Mammon, Ancient of Greed
Gives a bonus to gold dropped from all enemies. This is another one of those that do not have a level cap. Currently I have level 225 giving +1125% to gold dropped. I highly encourage you to level this ancient up quickly!
Chronos, Ancient of Time
Gives bonus to seconds to Boss Fight Timers. Giving you more time on bosses is an easy way to get to the next level. No level on this Ancient so level this up until you know you have enough time to kill that boss that just doesn't want to die. I have level 8 giving me 40 seconds additional time.
Fragsworth, Ancient of Wrath
Gives a bonus percent to your tap damage. No maximum level for this ancient as well. This is great to level up if you do not focus on your idle ancients like Liberatas. I like to mix it up, sometimes I feel like tapping, sometimes I don't. I have a level of 131 giving me a bonus of 2620%. I wouldn't put this in the top 10 because I am lazy and I like to be Idle. Save that tapping energy for the daily raid.
Bhaal, Ancient of Murder
Gives a bonus percent to Critical Taps. Critical Taps happen when you are tapping or have the skill tap storm going. No maximum level to this ancient as well. If you are a tapper this is a good ancient to have. My current level is 56 giving me +840% damage. Fragsworth and Bhall are great together as well.
Mimzee, Ancient of Riches
As I said above this ancient gives you a bonus percent on how much gold you find in treasure chests. This ancient belongs in the money group along with Mammon, Libertas, Khrysos, and Dora.
Argaiv, Ancient of Enhancement
Gives a percent bonus to Gilded damage. Gilds will be discussed in a different area. Each Gild gives a certain percent to how much damage your hero does. Argaiv improves on this each level he gets.
Khrysos, Ancient of Inheritance
Because I am lazy this ancient is one of my favorite. It gives you additional gold when ascending. The max level for this ancient is 10 giving you +100000000 additional gold. I will put in the comas to see it better 100,000,000!!!
This gives you enough gold to start moving fast!
Kumawakamaru, Ancient of Shadows
Reduces the amount of monsters requret to advance to the next level. This can be a blessing or a curse. You need to make sure that you can get enough gold to keep upgrading your heroes. This will make things go faster and will help you get Hero Souls faster. This ancient is great with Iris, Ancient of Vision.
Iris, Ancient of Vision
Starts you off at a higher level after ascension. This is another one that could be a curse as well as a blessing. You may inadvertantly slow yourself down by not being able to get your DPS up so that you can kill fast at that level. Together with Kumawakamaru you can get Hero Souls faster by getting to the levels required to spawn them.
Fortuna, Ancient of Chance
Gives a bonus percent to the chance of getting 10x gold. To me this ancient is not an appealing one. I don't like the chance part of it. It is nice when it works and has a max level of 40 giving you a whopping 10% chance of getting 10x gold.
Bubos, Ancient of Diseases
Reduces boss life by a percent. It has a max level of 25 giving you a 50% reduction in boss life. This would go great with the DPS set of ancients!
Revolc, Ancient of Luck
Gives you a percent increase to chance of double rubies from tappable treasures when you get a ruby. Again with the chance of something. I would rather spend my Hero Souls on other ancients. If you like chances this one is for you.
Solomon, Ancient of Wisdom
Gives you a percent bonus to Primal Hero Souls. This is the number one ancient! It increases the amount of Hero Souls you get when killing Primals! This pays for itself in the end with even more Hero Souls, get this ASAP!
Chawedo, Ancient of Agitation
Gives you a bonus to Tapstorm duration. I do not use skills much since it takes me out of idle. But the longer you have skills the better if you are a tapper. Heck I beat my highest level boss today using skills! So it's a good investment.
Thusia, Ancient of Vaults
Gives a bonus percent to treasure chest life while Golden Taps is activated. Since it has more life it takes longer to kill so Golden Taps gives you more money.
Vaagur, Ancient of Impatience
Reduces skill cool downs. This is awesome if you use skills! It maxes out at level 15 giving you 15% reduction in cool downs. More skills used is more money and dps! Although it is awesome I do not put much importance to this ancient because I do not use skills much.
Kleptos, Ancient of Thieves
Increases time on Golden Taps. This ancient along with Vaagur, and the other Gold set can give you a huge jump in gold. This skill has a maximum level of 30. I have a level of 2 adding 4 seconds to Golden Taps. Being that it is a skill focused ancient I do not put much importance into this skill.
Hecatoncheir, Ancient of Wallops
Increases duration of Super Taps. Like all the other skill based ancients it helps with gold and DPS! Maximum level of 30 and it looks like it will give you 60 seconds on your duration.
Berserker, Ancient of Rage
Increases duration of Powersurge. Another skill based ancient with a max level of 30 and im guessing an additional 60 seconds to your duration.
Sniperino, Ancient of Accuracy
Increases duration of Lucky Strikes. Same as other skill based ancients, max level and 60 seconds of time.
Energon, Ancient of Battery Life
Increases duration of Metal Detector.
Same as other skill based ancients, max level and 60 seconds of time.
